Since then teams from different European countries have been involved in Spring Cup with the likes of Tottenham Hotspur, Liverpool FC, Borussia Monchengladbach, Hamburger SV, CSKA Moscow, Spartak Moscow and RSC Anderlecht to name a few. Current champions: 1. FC Koln from Germany who is also the first team in tournament history to have achieved back to back wins (2017, 2018).

In 2019, following the successful transition last year of the event taking place in early June instead of late May organisers have decided to no longer include the phrase “Spring” in the official name of the tournament and instead replace it with “Challenge”. Hereinafter the tournament will be known as Liepaja Challenge Cup.

International indoor youth football tournament that takes place in Liepaja Olympic Centre in Liepaja, Latvia.

Fast paced tournament nature always provokes teams to score many goals and it is a joy for both, as for players to compete and for spectators to follow all the action. Since the first Amber Cup tournament in 2013 we have seen a different champion each year with Schalke 04 being crowned as champions in 2015.

In 2016, Schalke 04 became the first team to retain their title as they were crowned champions of Liepaja Amber Cup 2016.
